We outplayed them the whole game apart from about a 15 minute spell in the first half. Yes they had 10 men in the second half, but 10 men can be difficult to play against if they play it right. The Black Cats just fell apart. I dont see them challenging for promotion.

I felt it was 50/50 when it was 11v11 but that we'd got into the better positions just hadn't made as much of the situations as we should've.

Before the red card I was going to post that it was about as good of a half as I could have realistically expected going into the game. I really thought they'd cause us a lot of problems and nick the ball off us high up the pitch but we didn't seem to have much trouble playing around them with Hackney and Barlaser pulling the strings.

Too much youth in their side for me.

Yes they've some half decent technicians but one of the most mentally fragile teams I've seen. Lost their heads completely after the first and didn't even look bothered.

Clear their game plan is just to dive/win free kicks at every opportunity as well. They'll be around mid table I think.

I think that was the biggest factor for me. Losing their heads when things went against them, but for me the ref was already giving most 50/50s their way. Maybe they were too hyped up - young blood and all that - for what was after all not even a derby to them.

TBF Mowbray has worked miracles up there.
He is a guy who has always tried to play attractive football.
Think modern 'open' football zeitgeist suits his style of play.
That squad has a lot of young players with experience out the door.
Jury definitely still out on the Billionaire's son who now owns them.....just what is his overall plan????

Can see Mowbray getting the bullet sooner rather than later which would be a tragedy for him and them. Rumours abounded last year that were they wanted their 'own man' in charge.

Young inexperienced team. Good when not really under pressure. Looks like they might struggle back end of the season when it feels like points mean more if you're pushing for a play off place.

We've seen ourselves already this season why it's important to have experience in the team.
