Hi Ebor, I don't think access to unqualified information by those not quite educated enough to understand the difference between fact, opinion and intelligence results in a " better" world.
Look at the political world now compared to 30-40 years ago. I know if wasn't perfect ,and we had our share of disinformation , but the internet seems perfect as a tool to spread a false or misleading narrative.
It seems to me a lot of people mistake information for knowledge.
as my daughters tea mug says " please do not mistake your Google search for my medical degree"
off to bed now , catch up with others opinions in the morning. Cheers all.

This and the development of AI and deep fake videos, make the world a much more dangerous place and will more than likely cause a serious unnecessary conflict between nations.

It's just that that photo smacked me good and proper after seeing others comments.
I tend to agree, bizarrely though, they are my roots and without out them, I probably wouldn't exist.

One of the worst ten days of my life.
Flew home to England to take my Dad to Wembley once again, in the hope that we would both fulfil our dreams and die happy men
only to witness that late goal.
I don't see him often, living on opposite sides of the world and I was so much looking forward to painting the town ( London ) red with him.
He was so " pig sick " that he didn't want to go out for the night and I consoled myself with a few beers and dinner alone.

Worse even than that. I had only just booked the trip for the game and was to fly back to Australia in the coming day or so and hadn't given
it a moments thought about the possibilities of a replay.

I had to watch the replay in a pub in Sydney and things went from bad to worse and once again, I hadn't given a moments thought to the
possibilities, that, I, might get into a fight.
But that's another story for another day.
