Wife sold her Fiat 500 lounge on a 19 plate a few months ago for £5k. It was a lovely car, she sold it cheap so had a queue of people wanting it.

Aside, I'd look at a 1 series BMW, you might pay a little more for a 10 year old 1 series, but insurers like them, and are cheaper to insure than Corsa's and Fords.

Sorry but speaking from experience as an ex underwriter an 18 year old in any car with a BMW badge will be lucky to even get a quote for insurance never mind find it cheaper that a Vauxhall or a Ford.
