Usyk Dubois tonight

Up until a few weeks ago I didn't hate him. I just thought he was a bullshitter and a bit of a clown.

After watching a few episodes of his documentary on Netflix, yes I do hate him. He's a horrible human. The way he treats people including his family is disgusting
See I’ve watched 4 episodes of documentary and I feel it gives you a better understanding of who he is.

I have family members who suffer from
Mental health and you can see that in fury. Clear he has adhd and bipolar, which means they don’t always think rationally etc

He’s no where near my morals, but at least it gives some understanding about why he looks such a fool when trying to make fights

The Netflix doc has helped me quite a lot personally. I see a lot of Fury’s behaviours in my own. I wonder why I did that but Fury is open and honest as to the causes of his and it has made me realise I need to change my mindset and get some help.

The behaviours you think are disgusting aren’t consciously done. It’s not like he (or me) are 100% well and ‘normal’ and are doing things through choice. It’s a journey, a constant battle.

It explains the retirement thing quite nicely in the doc. He’s not just sat there taking the p155, he’s struggling and had to come back. I’ve had a similar struggle this year.

I really hope you don’t hate him because he is a result of a mental illness. It’s like saying you hate someone because they have cancer. It is hard and I hope I can come through this phase in my life just like Fury came through his ‘retirement‘ issues and get back on track.

Hate probably a stronger word than I should have used. I really dislike the way he treats his family and other humans. I've had my own battles and had exposure to people with all sorts of mental health battles which I'm not going to the trouble of explaining on this post.

If his mental health is at a stage where it can't be managed to even make a fight or keep himself in training then he really should be stripped of his belt. The same as someone with a physical injury would be. Its the world title.

Hopefully we will see less of the messing around going forwards. It seems that there is a clear and easy path to some kind of big fight in January, possibly against Usyk.

The retirement carry on has gone, we have a joke fight next, then hopefully we will see something that will satisfy most.

But don’t get me wrong, that is best case scenario, I can see it all going t*ts up as well.

Will we get the super fight night in January? AJ vs Wilder and Fury vs Usyk? It would be some night of boxing.

I don't see the sense in doing it one night. I guess money is no option for the Saudis and they will essentially run this at a loss and pay massive money to all 4 fighters.
But commercially it makes no sense to host it on the same night. You are essentially halving your PPV and ticket income unless they charge £60 PPV in the UK and probably $200 in the US.

It would be a great night of boxing but I would be just as happy seeing them on seperate nights. Would probably actually prefer it. Would get two good nights of boxing instead of one 🤷‍♂️.

I definitely can see the AJ v Wilder fight happening. It's the best fight out there for both fighters. It sounds like Hearn is pushing to get Hrgovic his mandatory fight with Usyk so that might have to happen before a fight with Fury can take place. The the winner of Zhang/Joyce will also be due their mandatory shot. If Fury and Usyk do fight, there's no guarentee it will an undisputed bout.

And if the Fury vs Usyk isn’t to unify the belts it probably will never happen I would think.

There’s nothing to debate really, the punch at first point of contact landed way below the navel and that’s all that matters.

The only person in Boxing I’ve really seen go on about it is Frank Warren and for obvious reasons, everyone else seems to agree it’s a pretty clear low blow, which it is.
The point is it's not clear, as there are no points of reference to use, other than his elbow, and you're allowed to punch near the elbow, as the area of the elbow isn't considered "low".

I'm not saying it definitely is legal, as the reference of what is considered "illegal" is vague, would change slightly by person to person, and the reference point is not visible in that exact situation. All I'm going off is elbow position, as that is the only visible thing to base an educated guess on. Trying to guess where a vague line is under some guys shorts is going to be nowhere near as accurate. It's like trying to guess an offside when the players are hidden.

Another thing which is clear is his belt is high, like 95% of boxers have their belts too high. The only reason they have high belts is to prevent themselves being hit or to deter legal body shots. this is why I have no real sympathy for Dubois, as his belt was just as high, so he may have been done over by rule bending, but he's maybe being done over by the same way he's bending the rules.

If he was going to use body shot tactics then maybe he should have had his belt lower, and he could have used himself as a reference point for the ref, when he got the inevitable complaints.

I'm not fussed who says it is or isn't, unless they've got some way of proving it, which I've not seen yet.

It is clear, you can see his navel plenty of times as he is moving.
