VAT On hot food and drinks is 20% no wonder the goverment does nothing about the fast food industry that is shortening the lifespan and ever increasing obesity of our citizens.
Every £5 gets the goverment a £1 what do they do with it all
Every coffee shop £3.20 a go +cake £2.60 x 2 another £2+ for the goverment.
If you ever wondered why greggs sell cold sauage rolls,pies and bakes it's to keep costs down no vat ,but buy a coffee or something hot add 20%.
Ice cream gets hit with 20% and that's cold.

We could do with shortening people's lifespans. We don't have enough housing and the birth rate isn't high enough currently to support the elderly population.
