Velogames 2024 - New Season Starts Tomorrow Night 🚴🏽‍♀️

Well it seems yesterdays ITT was the only stage of this years Ruta Del Sol due to protesting farmers. End of race points have been awarded and GeoffV is the winner

Thanks to both of you. A gracious reply there. Well done Geoff on winning Algarve and what turned out to be a ridiculous Ruta del Sol.

And a quirk of the Velogames site it looks like, when joining a league mid season it looks like it puts the entrant in for everything in the past. Can’t see that would be top of Mr Velogames’ to fix list.
 
With two tournaments live and about to go live let's get the result of the Algarve out of the way. Second win on succession for GeoffV. from "Alfie". What's it all about?

Two more tournaments finished yesterday. Congratulations Smurf on your first win of the season in the Tirenno. And well done also to Cardiffdaffs who takes Paris Nice comfortably for his first win.

Looks like a bit of a photo finish in the sprint for Tirenno... tie breaker needed. I propose an actual bike race. :)
 
Itzulia in tatters after big crash on descent on Stage 4. Al three favourites out of the race and stage has been neutralised. This could put Roglic, Evenepoel and Vinnegaard out of the TdF. Lets hope not.
 
Race rightly neutralised. Horrific to watch theses scenes - a very nasty crash with a concrete drain involved

So two further competitions were completed today following the result of the LBL. Firstly, Cardiffdaffs (2) won the men's springs classics series from Just a Kiwi and GeoffV. Secondly, The women's spring Classics season was won by Duck (4) from just a Kiwi and Geoffv

Good battle that JAK - thought I’d blown it at the end but scraped home. On the women rueing a missed event. Well done Duck.
 
The Wolfman has taken the Tour of Romandie after bagging the 1-2 in the GC pipping GeoffV who led for nearly all the week. Well done on his first win of the season.
