A name that's been on here a few times over the years.

Really impressed me bullying Boro CBs over a couple of seasons. He looked the 'complete' CF at champo level.

Interesting that no prem teams made a move for him. Especially at 18-20mil. How his career has kicked on.

Sporting manager Amorim on new links for Viktor Gyokeres and PL clubs: “He will only leave if someone pays the buyout clause in January — otherwise he will stay”.

Release clause: €100m.

Chelsea linked. They could have had him for 'peanuts' last summer. I wonder if Cov would get some kind of sell on clause?

However Cov's best player, the best forward on the pitch and Nobby's choice was No 17 Viktor Gyokeres.
This lad was a strong and physical presence up front and caused us problems throughout. With a nice touch to bring others into the game he held the ball up well and made some strong runs into the box getting several shots off. I would certainly like him in our squad.

Age 23 this Swedish International moved from his homeland to Brighton in 2018 to join the U23 squad and was loaned out to Swansea and Coventry.
Signing for Cov on a 3 year permanent deal at the start of this season he has 10 goals already.
This lad has a good career ahead of him and as such he's in the famous 📖👍
 
I think most Boro fans who watched the away game on the 11th September 2021 knew he was a star in the making.

It seemed strange that no one apparently went for him after that fantastic season. We should have made our move in January 22.
 
He is the complete forward and I was right at the time in thinking when boro had a chance for him we should of pushed the boat out as he is an investment where you will get a return
