Villa attendance?

I assume with it being two legs, each club prices their own home game and home gate receipts are kept rather than agreeing pricing and splitting gate receipts across the two matches?

Why is that. 3rd Round of the Cup is still always special and what a tie this is for us.
Because there is a league game 5 days before and a league cup semi final 3/4 days after. Probably a bit of a squeeze financially for some - so the other 2 are likely to have the bigger attendances

Most other fans have a perception of our support being much lower than it is in reality.
Probably partly down to having a relatively large stadium and empty seats being visible in the lower tiers.
It became a big talking point in the media when we got relegated with Southgate.
Attendances dropped by about 10k.
We were still getting about 20k but all they talked about was the 'missing fans', especially as the TV cameras faced the empty seats of the visiting fans (before the cameras and fans were moved, I think).
You'd think we were back down to 5k crowds the way they went on.

Even though I’ve bought my seat, I’m not certain to go. Why? One, we will play a shadow side as it’s between an important league game and our first semi-final in 17 years. Two, because 3 home games in 8 days is a big commitment and maybe something has to give - the Villa game is the easiest to ditch by far.

It’s going to be a flop all round - scratch side for both teams i suspect. For us because of injuries and we playing a more important game three days later, and them because they can beat us at a canter with their second string. Not going to look good on tv is it - reminiscent of when we played Man Utd in the FA Cup in 2002 an there was about 17000 there

as a season card holder i couldn't use the website to take up our 4 seats. we are seriously useless. bought them this morning. guessing we've all had same trouble as me. who wants to ring up ticket office or go to ticket office these days.

What problem with the website?
I bought my ticket yesterday - is it because the tickets have now been released to the public you are having problems? You click on the map of the seats and find your tickets (or near to them) and buy them and you still get £20 price. Am not being patronising here just that is what I did last night, step by step.

Hope we have a similar FA Cup run to that season (without the heartbreak of the own goal in semi though)
