Heard this song for the first time about 6 months ago and can't stop listening to it. Not sure whether it is the effect of lockdown and the lack of freedom we're all going through or the fact I have kids starting to reach that age where we have to start letting them forge their own path but the lyrics really strike a chord at the moment. I known it's not one of his own songs but his delivery is fantastic and makes me feel homesick for Teesside.

Anyway hope someone might hear it for the first time and enjoy it as much.

And for those fans of his, I know there are a few on here, where would you recommend to go from here?

 
Top fella, Vin, and a really great song. I worked with his brother in the 80s, who was a knockout. When someone mentioned how funny he was, he said "You've never met our Vin then, have you.....he's f**king mad!"
 
If you like Plugged you'll love Young Tin Whistle Pest. From about 1977 and never released on CD for contractual reasons, but you can pick it up on eBay on vinyl. Stunning musicianship and Teesside humour at its best. Vin made Wings his own but written by Brian Bedford. See also Absent Friends, beautiful.

Absent Friends was written by Keith Hancock.
 
Never saw him live. Don't really know why. I have seen thousands of bands all over the place but one on my doorstep and I missed him.
