When did they merge out of interest?

The cynic in me suggests this may have been a balance sheet play aimed at showing the financial resilience of both parties?

Or if it's after the merger, presumably some tax implication somewhere.

Yes VM package stayed the same price. I even kept the extra channels they included as part of the package. I don't think their is any communication between VM and 02.
 
Did you ever buy anything else from virgin media like a tablet or mobile wifi device etc. if you did even when the contract is up you will still continue to pay the full price of the tablet if you do not cancel it. If you still haven't got anywhere with o2 put the SIM in a mobile phone send a text saying PAC to 65075 if a code comes back and it says you do not owe anything get a 99p SIM from a supermarket and transfer the number out onto the PAYG sim and you won't get charged anymore.
