I've spoken to a lot of season ticket holders about renewing next season and it's fair to say most have had enough of the ineptitude of the running of the club and are not bothering. Kind of sad really from all the good work Karanka did and now this. I'm in two minds myself but I don't think it looks good for next season karanka.jpg

I know Karanka has his faults, but I’d have him back here in a heartbeat. He was passionate, loved the club, made supporting the Boro enjoyable for a period and we actually won plenty of games. We were turning up week in week out and seeing wins.

The contrast with where we are now is stark.

Good footage but that was nothing compared to Jack Charlton‘s era playing Leeds at Ayresome with 40,000 in, now that was an atmosphere.

Let’s not forget it took Karanka a long long time to fill the stadium, 2 months before the Brentford play off match there was only just over 16,000 in a cold Riverside seeing us scrape a win against Bolton.

I support the Boro, not any particular manager or set of players, so I will definitely be renewing. It’s our club, if we want it to decline further then the best way to achieve that is by the hardcore fans giving up on it.

We parted with Karana. He was playing boring football on a par with Pulis. And we had some good players who could play. Now we are trying to play attacking football with players that can't.

Karanka brought us the only enjoyable time in the last 12 seasons.
Pulis brought us Saville, Flint, McNair, Hugill, Besic, Mikkel and bored our t*ts off.
Karanka generated the PL funds.
Monk and pulis spunked them away.

Since when did 'on a par' equate with equivalence. Shows you have very little knowledge of the English language. Short memories people. Karankas football was boring. Pulis football was boring.
Between them they had Gaston, Traore and Bamford. and they managed to make it boring.

As Gibson said the best days are ahead of us !

The football under Karanka was not boring. You could go to the Riverside pretty much certain Boro would dominate the game. The team had clear identify, was very organised and defensively outstanding.

Some of FMTTM (Pog the main moaner) seemed to think that wasn't good enough. Football is about winning and Boro did not a lot with Karanka.

CRS being your usual self again - the football under Karanka was far better than it was under Pulis, the atmosphere was incredibly better and in case you had forgotten we got promoted under him. In the season we got to the PO final we scored 68 goals, conceding 37 winning 25 games and losing only 11. The season we got promoted we scored 63 goals and conceded 31, winning 26 games and losing 9.

In the seasons under Pulis we scored 49, conceded 41 and won 20 games, losing 13 of them.

The atmosphere and the general feel around the club under Karanka was miles apart from under Pulis' management. If you think otherwise you evidently weren't at many games, home or away, and certainly didn't involve yourself much with football.

Your statement saying they were on par is utterly ridiculous.

Football under karanka was better but let’s leave the Rose tinted verifocals off. Walked out on the club, berated the fans, frustrated tactics, no plan b, defending 1-0 leads, 88th min like for like subs etc. He provided good football for a while but was out of his depth in the premier league and hasn’t achieved anything since leaving us. Kept stuani out of position/on bench, misused Rhodes, created social divide between players and staff and so on and so on

Nailed it Fair86. I think the mistake you are making WeeGord is using Pulis as your point of reference.

Oh and I hardly missed a match under both. Maybe you have all you coaching badges to make you an expert but I know what I see.

Some fans deserved the berating. Some act and behaviour like children at times. I really don't know what Boro fans expect. McClaren use to get stick too and he achieved more than any Boro Manager.

CRS you’re a deeply unpleasant individual really, your sarcasm and general manner doesn’t show you in a good light.

I am not quite sure how using Pulis as a point of reference is my problem, it is YOU who compared the two of them.

WeeGord. Me ? You have attacked me personally with every post you have made whereas I haven't. I think you need to look in the mirror if you are looking for a definition of unpleasantness.

You’re not exactly an asset to this board CRS, coming on here begging people to give you likes, then being snide and sarcastic with every comment and then completely avoiding the point I’ve just made.

I’m rather unfortunately getting ready for my Dads funeral this afternoon so forgive me if I don’t d*ck about on here arguing with a complete no mark like you.

you're at it again - calm down mate

"arguing with a complete no mark like you. "

But you are aren't you ?
