Well done to the south stand/red faction today...

The commentary (Reading based) described the atmosphere as "soporific" on more than one occasion, and that it was more like everyone was just having a chat about their week.

I don't think they were particularly wrong.

It was very subdued in the stadium for most of the match, it only really started to crank up after Reading scored, though the Red Faction core rarely stopped chanting throughout.

RF were fantastic throughout. What was the song they sang all the way through the game? Even carried it on when they scored?

"Wilder said, he F***ing loves Paddy McNair
Oh words can’t describe, Isaiah running down the right hand side
Crooksy’s hair is fine, he scores belters all the time
That’s why we sing this song, for the Boro all night long"

The best thing about RF is that they have moved on from the dull, boring chants of the past. “Stand up if you love Boro” still makes me cringe to this day.
I don’t remember them singing that in the Holgate.

It was cringeworthy though.

I would agree with those comments to be fair. It was very subdued yesterday.

RF were great, but I don’t see the need to have a pop at other areas of the ground regarding their support. Remember RF moved from the North stand to the south stand which impacted the North. The ground has rarely been full since so maybe the North hasn’t ‘fully rebuilt’ yet.

anyway, all Boro want the same at the end of the day so no need for internal jibes or finger pointing

Didn't seem soporific when Reading scored and the South kept singing to rally the troops. Are you sure they were not talking about the Reading fans lack of voice.

Yesterday was the first official day with the South stand as the home end. For a few games now if Howson won the toss and chose to switch sides and kick to the North stand first. But we came out and the lined up on the South side, don't think we've ever done that before
I think thar must have come from the players.

Can we pin this at the top of the page admin?
Somebody has to type it in most of the threads 😂

Quite right. Everyone in the ground is supporting the Boro financially and boosting the atmosphere by reducing the number of empty seats.

Why do we have to have swear words all the time (same as sporar song) im sure the mums will be cuffed to bits when their kids get home from a match with their dads and start singing these songs in the house or the car.

I'll be surprised if this take on enola gay catches on outside the south stand but i suppose its an improvement on hearing the sporar song all game (and lets face it he had a quiet game yesterday)

It was loudly sang throughout most of the second half at the Mansfield match.

It's definitely caught on at away matches, it just takes a while to filter through and the words aren't easy to catch if you're in the opposite end of the stadium.

Just came across this on YouTube. Wouldn’t like to be sat next to someone constantly filming themselves during a game but at least he’s enjoying himself.

Must admit I’ve never heard that ‘super Boro’ chant before, sounds very European!

Never noticed this but it looks like he sits a few rows behind me
