Well it’s time to inspect the damage

It is and I don't begrudge it for a second!
I was in the north east a few weeks ago and went with some family to the blue bell in yarm for dinner. On the walk over I was chatting with my dad, then again during dinner, and my sisterr said later it was great to have someone else look after our dad for a couple of hours. I am sure it can be a strain, unbegrudging or not.

Fencing out the back has completely been demolished. Lovely stuff 😒. Also my BBQ ended up on the road.
Quite a bit of damage in and around Billingham. Luckily I avoided any but a couple of neighbours haven't got fences now!

Beware of those vent cowls with built in flaps, they rattle a lot in the right conditions and can drive you nuts!
All my fences have survived, but I knew they would 4" treated posts in concrete capped above the soil level. The north facing fence was not close boarded but left with gaps to let wind through. I have always done my own fences because of a poor job by a local company years ago. You get what you pay for certainly, so warning for you who have lost fencings. Commiserations and best of luck.

Couple of fence panels down and we acquired a conifer but all OK otherwise. I did pick up 2 roof tiles from the driveway which would have been through next door's car had they not been out, so fortunate for them
