Wembley Hotel

Can see why it would be for some but if you spend several nights in London a month, and used to live there, as in my case, I just want to avoid all the chaos.

And not withstanding that there are other folk who have never spent much time in London but also can’t be bothered with the chaos, which I understand. For me this weekend, if we get there, is purely about 90 minutes of football. I won’t even be doing Trafalgar Square this time.

All three NE clubs seems to love doing Trafalgar Square the night before, and all 3 have awful records at Wembley in recent times, so I’d be pretty happy if no one else did it either! 😁
Same here...done Trafalgar Sq 1990 ZDS and all other finals since, but not the next time we're at Wembley - hasn't brought us much luck has it?

As a slight aside, can anyone advise on the best place to leave the car and travel into the city by train.

Need to pick family up in Leeds on the way so was thinking of driving as far as Peterborough?

I've booked Premier Inn Wembley Stadium on the Friday night. Can do central London when we get there off the train. Having a chilled morning, nice breakfast and much cheaper than anything in the centre won it for me.

I just want it as easy as possible on the day. After the match can pick bags up, have a pint and head to Kings Cross with no rush.

Obviously I've booked refundable rate.
You have the exact same plan as me.

I think most people that drive towards. The west of London. Your straight out on a tube westwards after the game

St Albans is a good station for the train. Right off Junction 7 of the M1, Fast train to West Hampstead and then 4 stops on the Jubilee up to Wembley Park.
