Jim Platt had his leg amputated at the knee after a nasty sliding challenge from Ralph Coates, one of footballs nice guys.
amazingly not only did it not hinder Platts career but he became even better, with the exception of insisting in taking all his own goal kicks

Good question, but I woukd say 73-74, season 74-75 we had a buttoned collar, though Souness did wear his 73-74 shirt the following season, if you look at some of the video footages
