What a fantastic shot of the red faction v WBA

What a difference nowadays compared with what it was like under GS2 when the club had tried to kill Red Faction at birth (like some modern day King Herod) and we were down to only 13k? Boro fans for home games. Well they have grown up to be an adult Moses. Can we be led across the the desert to the Promised Land overcoming not the Egyptians, but the vastly richly Parachute Clubs?

Good post red

I remember at the time, Burnley at home night match Kink scoring two belters late on to win 2-1 & the negativity towards RF back then, the club didnt want to know, just stuck in the sourh east corner, my yoyng un one of em
I said back then those lads & lasses could have stayed at home & watched the greed is good champions league but instead wanted to come to the Riverside & follow the Boro during such grim times

Saw them for the 1st time against Blackburn at home when the away fans were in the South and RF were in Block 53b or the South East corner

Been through some absolute wringers what with trying to ban the singing to surrounding them with stewards.

Have grown and grown as the years have gone by and proper lads at it`s core

Respect and may it long continue

I was at that match, travelled up from the South and total carnage when IIRC his free kick went in, great times(y)

Are they ( RF ) planning anything for Sheff U Sunday ? We all need to be in full support on Sunday , huge game, history with them and their fans, who are coming in numbers.
Should be a great atmosphere , stay behind them For the full game, we are getting some new players soon to improve the squad, but for now , support the ones wearing the shirt. the fans can make a difference , 12th man included , North stand , all stands, let's be loud and proud.
UTB

I also remember the threatening letter put on their seats in Block 53 - "stop drumming and singing, if not you will be evicted" signed the stadium manager etc

I still have some original artwork they left in the now closed Star and Garter Pub before the last home game of 2008/9 - we were in the last chance salon under GS1 - they had modified war time posters like Rosie the Riveter (turning her into a Boro fan - We can do it!). It wasn't known as Red Faction then. Possibly a handful of teenagers.

When they moved the away fans to the East Stand there had been a change. Boro fans that had come for their afternoon snooze could be moved somewhere else to avoid having their sleep distributed and RF were given part of the South Stand. I think the Club realised these fans were 99% OK, there were not a recreation of Boro Frontline from 1981.
