Yeah I saw her in LUMP a couple of weeks ago. She was superb, if possibly a little too perfect.

I love Laura Marling but I know what you mean about being a little to perfect. I still prefer her earlier stuff and some of the covers. Love this live version of the Johnny Flynn song.

But back to subject of the thread. Been listening to Lael Neale who I posted on New Music thread.

Then since midnight I have been blasting my ears with a few Sonic Youth albums. Never get to sleep with into to Teenage Riot rattling around my head.

I said, and still say, I'd like to hear her channel a bit of Bruce Dickinson or Britney Spears and sing about nonsense like it was the most important thing in her life. As it was it felt like Virginia Woolf describing the most beautiful thing you could ever see. Awe inspiring, but a little distancing because of its perfection.

Going to see them in november at Leeds. Last time I saw them there they were superb. Really have got their mojo(whatever that is) back and were asgodd as when I saw them the very first time.

Rediscovered SAHB after many, many years. Remember seeing them live at York uni back in the 70’s and loved them. The fantastic, quirky Zal Cleminson on lead guitar - great player and hugely underrated I think. Enjoying it now, too.

I feel like I'm on a "5 year mission to seek out new artists, new music down the rabbit hole of Youtube" atm.
The only problem is that some of the "new" to me music is not actually new and in most cases I've missed the boat with no chance of seeing them live.
