A two quid yankee on Nunthorpe day at York in 2002 for a couple of grand. I can still remember the horses. Simpler times.

I once lost 3 grand on a bet, but as the maestro himself is keen on saying "We win when we loose" So really I won 3 grand. It was on dancing brave in the derby. I backed it every week for a year and I thought it could not be beaten

What kind of prices did you get?

1100 on 1 football acca

But also won about 1750 before in 1 day but this was made up of 4 or 5 footy bets

put the last £3 in my account on Maguire to score first and 2-0 @110/1 in the 2018 Euros

one slightly bigger than that (about £450 IIRC) was the very first time i played roulette in a casino - was a strange night as it was about 4am and there was a taxi driver at the table who was thousands down and chasing to win it back, he was scared to go home he said. i think he was a bit annoyed i was that much up from £50 initial chips

not exactly a big winner, but i'm not really a gambler

Mrs Fufkin has won a couple of grand in one sitting playing craps in Atlantic City, that was over about 3 hours though. i was a bit bored to be honest so went at sat in the burlesque bar

£8000 playing poker in one night, £2500 on a football 3x £5 doubles 1x £5 treble. 3 teams all to lose at h/t win at f/t. Double came in and the other game came in the wrong way round. £50K to full bet paid

Just under £7K On an EW accy. I cashed out. Had I left it one more race it would have been around £15.5K but had I then left it for the final race I would have had £111.50 ish as a horse called ‘Muffins for tea‘ finished 2nd. I was willing it to lose to be honest. I never felt I had done the wrong thing. Ironically the next horse in my accy that won the next leg race after I cashed out was called ‘must havea flutter’

I should have won a life changing amount in 1994 but due to illness and my Dad’s forgetfulness the bet was never placed....was actually over the Arc weekend and I picked out 8 horses over the Saturday and Sunday to win, Hiwaya, La Confederation, Halling, Further Flight at Newmarket, Maid For Walking at Redcar and then on the Sunday Missed Flight, Lochsong and Carnegie at Longchamp, I was crocked having had a knee op and had wrote out my bets for my Dad to put on on the way to football, he was a non-league manager at the time and running late didn’t get to the bookies....they all won, one of the bets was a £1 each way accumulator, it would have paid out over a million to one, I think the limit was £250k at the time, anyway still get trouble with the knee and they do say you never miss what you’ve never had....as you can see I’ve totally got over it and it never crosses my mind anymore....

£80 on a horse on a £5 bet at York Races about 25 years ago. Not a big gambler TBH, a flutter on the national, or a few quid per race at the Horse races or dogs if I go there for a day out.

I don't have an online account with Skybet or suchlike and think bookie shops are horrible places so tend to keep away from them.

Problem I have is that I hate losing money, am not tight, but think its a waste of money. No doubt the majority of people who gamble regularly lose far more than they win.

It's all relative but back in the day when I was in The hundred club I won £1k on a scratchcard.
Won £100 at Royal Ascot 40 years ago too - it was huge at the time.

I have the same thoughts as you - thus I hardly gamble.... my grandma always use to say "you never see a bookie going out of business"

£819.76 off a £10 treble on an FA Cup 3rd round weekend.

Villa v Sheff UTD (UTD at 5/1). Villa were champo and Sheff UTD league 1.

Rochdale v Leeds (Rochdale at 16/5)

Southend v Millwall (Southend 21/10).

I know all this as I still have the screen shot👍. The funny thing is that I take no credit for it. I was driving into work on a Saturday morning and talksport had paddy power on. He said this was his cheeky treble of the day. So banged it on.

The worst of it was that two of the results had come in and they had a fecking flood light failure at Southend after 20 odd mins. So had to wait until nearly 1715 for it to come in (I actually rejected £500+ cashouts)

The best first scorer I had was recently. I actually backed against Boro and had Adam Reach as first scorer at the Riverside for Sheff wed. I had £15 on at 18/1. I just thought 'typical Boro' and he will score😂
