Where are all the good news Brexit stories ???

I'm a big pro-European, I think leaving the EU was a big mistake for so many reasons.

The only good news story at the moment is the vaccine roll-out. Good job Matt Hancock watched contagion.......

"But the impact for Barclays, so far at least, has been limited.

“There are some jobs that are going to Europe, that otherwise would have been in the U.K., but it’s in the hundreds,” Staley said.

Good news indeed.
Is that good news for the hundreds of people who will lose their jobs but wouldn't lose their jobs if the UK didn't leave the EU, or is good news that it still bad but not as bad as it could have been?

Good news for those who got the jobs after they moved to the EU.

Maybe HundredRoom who posted the article could comment on how this is a good news story for those hundreds of UK workers who have lost their jobs?

OP - couple of things, Brexit is done, the Tories are in power for another 4 years. Your regular rants won’t change a thing. Give it a rest!

The OP was asking for 'good news' stories

Your reply isn't a 'good news' story, it's just a dig at the OP

Here's my 'good news' story:

You’re absolutely right. It seems the majority of his posts are either against Brexit or the government. It is tiresome in the extreme? Why? Because none of us can do sod all about the situation. So a pretty futile exercise I think.

Barclays CEO Jes Staley Says Brexit Will Benefit of City of London

Barclays loves Brexit
The Economist are stated that 7500 city jobs and £1.5tn in assets have moved to the continent because of Brexit.

It also goes onto say the only part of financial services to actually support leaving the EU was Hedge Funds. Those funds want less scrutiny and regulations and raise funds mainly in the Far East and Middle East.

Actually this is a good new story, albeit cynical.

One of the main reasons why parts of the City wanted Brexit is because the UK would not have to be tied into new European laws that would restrict the use of offshore tax havens.

Which means the City will be free to continue to use them, and make £££££££ as a result.

That £££££ of course, is in part, our investments and pension funds.

We are doing better in the vaccine roll out. Except where we aren’t. So that’s a “win” if you’re a brexitist
