Where to Stay in London for Wembley SSE Arena ?

I'm going to a gig at the arena next year so I'm planning on getting the train down and staying over, as its a Friday night. .

I'm looking for recommendations of area's to stay that has plenty of pubs/restaurants etc. I know I could get the tube back to central London but wondered if anyone could recommend somewhere different, possibly nearer to Wembley but easy to get to from KK.

Cheers

I agree with Boro Fur.

Not only Metro line but Jubilee line runs into central London from Wembley.

Wembley area used to be very limited, for years it was ordinary 1930s surburb of London with alot of industrial type units around the stadium. There is more retail now but it is nothing compared with Central London.

You need to decide what you what to do with your spare time which probably depends on your interests and the people with you.

Public transport is very good most of the time in London. and better the more central you are.

Who are you going to see Konrad?

Watford isn’t too bad, you are getting the tube the opposite way to most people after the event, also if you are getting the train into KK originally, just 10 min stroll to Euston and there is an overground to Watford.

I'd stay at Swiss Cottage, or Finchley Rd. There are quite a few hotels on the north side of Regents Park - including a Marriott. You can walk to Finchley Rd tube, and get the Met Line to Wembley Park easily from there. It's just one stop, (but quite a long distance).

Getting away from Wembley is usually quite hard work - depending on the hour, and how many people are at your event it can take 30 mins to get to the platforms at Wembley Park.

Premier Inn on Euston Road next door to O'Neills would be my choice

O`neills and The Rocket both open till 1am on Friday

and O`Neills do a cracking breakfast aswell if you aren`t leaving till after 9 in the morning
This is a good call too. I really like the rocket. The Euston tap nearby is a quirky little place too if you like a choice of fancy lagers, ciders and beers

Cheers. That looks perfect for me. I don't want night clubs and I don't want to be wandering around too much either.

Pubs open late and a few near each other. Close to KC and Metropolitan line straight to Wembley. That'll do (y)
