Where's Bola?

Thought Giles really struggled last night and thought Bola might have been brought on to make us more solid when we were ahead but i noticed he wasn't even on the bench last night. Is he injured or just out of favour?

Forget Matt Clarke what's happened to ........................ Ahh scratch that, just forget Matt Clarke.
It been a strange one hasn't it, obviously played really well at his last few clubs (hence the much publicised player of the year accolades), but looked like a sunday league clogger here at times.

I can only guess he wasnt fit/injued when he came.

Totally agree. Turning circle of a frigate and slow as heck! Only decent thing he had was a good left footed pass on him. We can only hope we eventually see the player of the year at his previous two clubs.

Clarkie had sciatica but maybe it’s a bigger issue. Let’s not forget he was on the beach for the best part of two years at Brighton so maybe he’s body trying to come to terms with working again lol 😆

Personally I think he’s a great asset )based on the first game) and hopefully when he’s fully fit he can resume his first game form.

He played 60 matches for Pompey in 2018-19.
He played 37 for Derby in 2019-20 and 44 for Derby in 2021-22.
He then played 33 times for West Brom last season.

Not sure how he was in Brighton to be on the beach.

Interesting that Bruce did not bring him back to West Brom...and was more than happy to let Mowatt go.

Bruce said that they couldn't afford to sign him permanently, but would have brought him back on loan immediately if able.

I think Clarke will come good if he can get back in the team but that will be a struggle if Lenihan keeps his recent form up.

Like Lenihan, Clarke has had a tricky start to his career at Boro, think he is suited to a back 2 than a 3.
