Which promoted teams have finished in the top 5

I was thinking that but don’t think it was following promotion. I remember them playing against Bayern Munich.

9th yeah, I looked it up the other day, but they fell right off in the last 10 games. Think they were 5th or 6th at Christmas.

I wonder how many clubs have finished rock bottom of the PL and gone back up the next season?

Often the bottom teams are an absolute disaster, Sunderland/Derby/QPR level, and it takes a few years to clear out that stench.

I know Forest did it in 96/97 > 97/98.

In fact 18th / 19th / 20th finished 3rd / 2nd / 1st.
