I remember being told by one of the many lads that went to the boro and the speedway meetings that EIO was copied from Grimsby Speedway fans.

Don’t think Grimsby had a speedway team, only speedway teams in Lincolnshire were Boston Barracudas and formerly Scunthorpe Saints now Scorpions.
