Discussing in our office, after talking about "how can Forest afford £200K per week?". The question went on to who is our highest ever paid player?

Who do you think was our all time highest paid player?

I said Boksic. Others have said Alves.

Boksic was one of (if not the) highest payed players in the Prem at the time.

It's madness now when you think about it. Although more 'mad' that he ever played for us.

I bet we paid most if not all of Negredo’s salary as part of his loan deal. Must’ve been an absolute fortune. Same for Mendieta, though that was at a very different time in terms of the financial landscape.

No , as this supposed figure of 42k that seemed to be repeated in every tabloid was used primarily as a stick us beat us with along with the rest of the vitriol aimed at us at that time.
