When we set off on the way back we stopped at an empty pub - not a restaurant definitely a pub that served food - and were asked if we'd booked a table! (Obviously looked like yobs🤣). They begrudgingly let us sit at a table in the corner - nobody had come in by the time we left
It was so long a trip that we just HAD to stop at another pub to use their facilities further on - and of course we couldn't be rude and not buy a drink while in there😉
Hundred or so more miles, and we needed another 'pitstop' and pint.....
Apart from the driver let's just say we were 'well oiled' by the time we got back to Teesside

Days like that make it more of a big lads adventure.......in the old days it was beer in the boot and a spare can of petrol in case you broke down + the starting handle and a spare radial tyre (y)
 
I went to the Strachan 2-0 win - stayed at the Atlantic Hotel and walked down a long hill to Home Park - a lot of Boro at the game, even though we only had an outside chance of the play offs. If its a weekend game I expect even more Boro this time after taking around 2,000 to Swansea and Cardiff.
 
I'll be there but thwn again i live in the south west anyways. Dont envy boro based fans making the trek
