Who wants to be a millionaire - recent winner

Is it just me, or did something not seem right with this.

there was no doubt he was very clever, quizzer, etc, but given he was clearly a specialist in history and geography, every single serious question seemed to fall into his lap.

It was almost as if the producers wanted there to be a winner. No suggestion of cheating on his part, rather some very selective questions that appealed to the contestants skills.

A few on twitter raised this point - maybe the questions just fell right for him or maybe he was given a few that might suit him, either way we’ll never know

Just quickly read up on it but wasn't he a history and politics teacher? How 'hard' were the questions? Cos as a GCSE history teacher he wouldn't necessarily be required to know every single aspect of history.

I enjoyed it, very knowledgeable fella, each step of the way through to the million, I just loved the way he answered all 4 choices, just seemed so cool
Even if I was on a million & was asked something about 73-74 season I would still ask a friend, even 50/50 but he didn't need to, excellent viewing

Maybe they could do a film of his time during the quiz. Without the police involvement. Who is going to volunteer to fall in the sh1t.

Didn't his brother win half a mill on the prog last year ?

When Chris Tarrant ran the show yonks ago I fancied the idea of participating but the difficulty was actually getting on - I know I spent a few bob on the telephone eliminations until I gave it up .

Thought he was fantastic and one of the best I have seen if not the best but yes, the questions certainly fell his way. I presume it is no more than that though.

Enjoyed it.
Agreed the questions fell his way,but given the number of times that questions don't fall the way of a contestant (the majority of times) then it's no surprise that it will happen once in a blue moon.
