Who will we sign then?

Ross Stewart?
Tom Cannon?
Sam Greenwood?
Lewis O’Brien?
Nat Phillips?

Any other links?

Personally I’d love O’Brien, Phillips and Cannon!

Although would also be happy if Stewart or Greenwood came in!

Anyone ITK? How likely are the above? Anyone else on our radar?

My prediction is Greenwood and O’Brien definetly come in. And gonna be tough for Cannon but we nab him from Sunderland’s noses.

Would like a centre back too but doubt that happens this window

That would make for a great end to the window!

I think we’ll get 3 of those 5. Would be happy with any of them, to be fair, although I wouldn’t want to be spending significant money on Stewart.

Stewart is a top striker at this level and will be a great signing for someone. Southampton financially will beat everyone for him mind

Plus I would happily let Steve Gibson spend *his money on him.

Doesn’t look like Phillips is coming to the Boro, going to Glasgow tonight for a medical before joining Celtic

I think the slight advantage we have is that it seems they have to sell Stewart to finance this deal, which could be complicated with a only a couple of days left, so fingers crossed it does work in our favour.

To be honest, I don’t think we can say he’s a top striker at this level yet. He’s made literally only 13 appearances at Championship level.
Granted, he scored 10 goals which is a phenomenal return from 13 games, but I think he needs to play at this level more than 13 times to be considered a top championship player, even if his stats suggest he could be. That run was the best return in his career, the rest of which was spent at a much lower level than Championship.
Maybe his body just isn’t up to the intensity of championship football, despite him having the ability? This season will probably confirm if he’s a top striker and I wish him the best of luck and I suspect he probably will prove to be a very good Championship level striker, but I personally think it’s a gamble at this moment in time, to spaff £6-8 million on someone with that recent injury record who is relatively untested at this level. I’d rather use some of that cash for Canon.

Fair points. Honestly Id rather we improved our defensive side of the game. Obrian would be great a top class RB would be awesome

Norwich leading race for Cannon , bid in and he fancies the move .
Is our interest a smokescreen for the foreign player who visited last Thursday with his agent ?

Would it not have been easier not to tell some divvy off oneboro about.. ‘a foreigner’ than to concoct multiple ‘smokescreen rumours’ regarding British based players?
