Why do we hand power to ex public school boys

I don't know. It's utterly bizzare.

I am hoping that the last election was a one off.

The 'we will get Brexit' done' even if you completely disagree with it, was a brilliant marketing tool.

Similar to 'Labour isn't working'.

Labour needs to stay well clear of Brexit.

Don't give the privileged liar any help.

Starmer

Liar

Prince William

Who do you think would win?

Using any voting mechanism you want.

Sounds like you just met 2? Can they be any other reason why they would think he's wonderful?
Find me a johnson supporter and they will almost certainly be basing it on getting brexit done.
By cultist I don't mean those who voted brexit and moved on I mean those who will cut off their nose to spite their face because labour/dems/greens etc tried to "block the will of the people" and therefore can't vote for those parties years after we have left
 
All major parties like their public school boys. Tony Blair was from a top private school.

I think John Major did not go to University and did not go a private school - he was the last elected PM in that category.
 
I lived in a cathedral city, which also had in it one of the oldest public schools in the country, which of course also has charitable status.
A friend worked at the school as a teacher in the art department. He was in a relationship with a woman who was an accountant working in the school
Everybody understood that the cathedral was a major landlord/ landowner, having been there for centuries, not only within the city, but literally worldwide.
In fact the school, also having been there for centuries also, was even more wealthy than the church itself.
I’ve always been an advocate of the removal of charitable status from super wealthy organisations like this, especially some of the schools. Now…seeing the way they infect the whole hierarchy of public bodies the law, government, media and various other rotting parts of the body politic. If you haven’t looked at the percentages of the ‘tribe’ that hold power in the country, you will be very surprised.
Sod just the charitable status…Abolish the lot them completely.
