Wilders obsession with a left footer at LCB

Saying it would help us move the ball out wide quicker and help us from an attacking point of view.

Clarke might be left footed, but does it really matter what foot he uses to hoof the ball forward or pass it 10 yards sideways to Dael Fry.

Ask Giles who he would like playing LCB behind him… Clarke or McNair or Bola… I know who would be third on his list

We did get carried away after Clarke's debut performance vs Swansea. He looks very slow and clumbersome. He was partly to blame for the third goal last night because as usual he got too tight to his man and then there was a massive gap for their player to run into, as Clarke couldn't get across in time.

I've championed the idea of having a left footer in that role but I'm starting to wonder whether it would be worth going back to playing McNair there. The trio of Djiksteel, Fry and McNair did generally work for us last season.

McNair made it his own last season, maybe we should revert back?

From what I've seen of Clarke I think he's nowhere near his level yet, reading about fans views from previous teams. That's what I'm hoping anyway!

I thought Fry was poor last night too, more so in fact. His passing out is so slow and indecisive and I've seen a pint of milk turn faster than he did for their third.
