Will Tier 4 change your NYE celebrations?

Just can't decide, today we're Tier 3 I probably would have knowing it was safe anyway but now tomorrow is Tier 4 I'm totally undecided.
New member one message trying to trip people up. Hi rifle

What does tier 3 to 4 do, nothing unless you were seeing the new year in on a treadmill or getting ya nails done

Got some of my belgian winter beers case to finish plus a keg of sour beer , so as usual will get slowly sozzled.
One of the rare few who still enjoy NYE, though no first footing other than my own place.

Have plans with members of my support bubble and whether or not and within the space of 24 hours, trying to engage as to whether or not people felt that going from Tier 3 to Tier 4 had changed anything. Harmless questions sometimes require harmless answers.

I was probably going to head down to a pub for a couple after work( 3pm finish)then head home, now I be stocking up on some beverages to take home.

Most of you are quite chilled, I suppose being in Tier 3 and then going to Tier 4 doesn't make much difference to NYE celebrations but I am pretty peed off, I knew it was coming but it's the way they leave things to the last moment which feels inept.

I've always wished New year started on March 21. The day the clocks go forward. That just feels more like the start of a new year to me.
Some arbitrary position of the planet in the middle of winter and its freezing cold has no feeling of a brand new year.

the rules around bubbles haven’t changed so why would it change your plans?

We were meant to be with friends but went into Tier 4 a few weeks back so that was that.

Playing golf today and then have arranged a zoom quiz and a few beers with our friends for tonight once the kids are in bed. Then just relax

We absolutely love Christmas as it was made for kids, but not done New Year celebrations for years. Tonight will be Christmas cake, cheese and sherry with my wife to see in 2021, then bed about 01:00.

I don’t really celebrate new year, girlfriend is working a night shift any way. I’ll be asleep by 10 tonight, I get up early for work so even on my rest days I’m flagging by 10. After the madness of Xmas with my boy and being run ragged at work as they are too cheap to unfurlough people I’m looking forward to plotting in front of the tv, eating loads of food and watching Vikings.

I'm usually love a NYE and have had some great ones in the past. Tonight will be frustrating but I'll try and console myself with some Mikeller beers, a chinese takeaway and a stack of records I'm off to pick up from the record shop in half an hour.
