Women's Euros 2022 Thread

As already said, but worth highlighting as it is always used as a stick to beat the women's game, but women's football is a different game entirely.
There's been some great stuff played throughout and for the most part it has been done without any of the cynicism or "professionalism" that we see at the tip of the men's game.
The women's game in this country should continue to grow after this and for once, the FA should be applauded for their contribution to it.
Looking forward to seeing tomorrow's matchup just as much as the final. I'm hoping for a French win personally as I think an England Vs France final could be a cracking game to watch as both teams have some very creative players and, outside of the Lionesses, I think that Cascarino of France has been an absolute joy to watch.

2-1 probably. Think it'll be really close.
Well I was completely wrong. First half was close. But England just ran away with it in the second half Russo's goal was unbelievable. Can't believe she even tried that in a Euros semi final in front of what is likely one of the biggest crowds she's ever been in front of.

The atmosphere there was amazing as well. As someone above said, felt like something special. I cannot wait to get to Wembley on Sunday now!

Womens World Cup next year in Australia and New Zealand.
Yeah, England have all but qualified as well. Unfortunately the times won't really be great for the young English fans to watch games. I hope that England really push to hold a Women's World Cup over here soon. Would be amazing to see the USA over here.

Saw them in the Olympics in 2012.

As for the timings want to hope we are given late kick offs so at least they can be watched in the morning and not in the middle of the night. Better than holding a tournament on the West Coast of the USA

Just watched the highlights and it was pretty impressive. The World Cup next year over here will be something and wonder how much interest this tournament will create to get supporters in good numbers travelling next July.

Pity the tournament is to be played in our winter. It can get pretty chilly and windy in Wellington in July and Sydney has had some horrendous winters of rain in recent years. Fortunately the Dunedin stadium (super cold in July down there) has a roof.

I am going to the France v Germany game this evening at Milton Keynes. Have to drive up there because of the Train Strike.

Looking forward to it as France have played some great stuff and well Germany are Germany so good expectations for another cracker.

Anyone interested....

Apparently a few more final tickets being released this morning. I'm presuming they are opening up the whole of Wembley? Seems daft if they are capping it short of capacity.

Cash in on the feel good factor👍

Putting myself in the queue. Doubt there will be many though

if it sells out, which it certainly will. It'll be the 3rd biggest women game of all time. And second biggest international. Bizarre that the record for a woman's match is a domestic match. Barcelona v Real Madrid. 91000
