Uefa criticised over Euros 'training ground' venue
Iceland playing two of their European Championship group games at a "training ground" is a "shocking" decision, says midfielder Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir.

I presume the test matches at the Riverside recently haven't helped their case. The non-England matches got very low attendances. I'm not sure there is the interest in England for women's football to justify higher capacity stadiums for every venue. They will have worked it so the lowest expected attendances are at the lowest attendance stadiums. It's got to be better playing in front of a sell out even at a small stadium than a full stadium that looks empty. Atmosphere doesn't build at all in an empty stadium.
