Woodgate to Bournemouth Confirmed on SSN

Stand Woodgate alongside Eddie Howe !!! Id be devastated if i supported Bournemouth to see how low weve fallen

Fair enough and good luck to him. He has the potential to be a good English coach, clearly loves the game and has matured a lot. Manager role here was too big too quick. I wish him all the best and the more experience he gets the better. I still think it was unfair of us to expect him to be able to do the job in very difficult circumstances and replacing Pulis was never easy. Pulis was getting a lot out of a very average side.
pulis was getting nothing out of a squad he had spent £20m more on with 3 players and brought in 10 players in total of his own, with a massive wage bill - twice the current one.

For clarity: Aden Flint, George Saville, Paddy McNair, Jack Harrison, Mo Besic, Andy Lonergan, Jordan Hugill, Sam McQueen, Danny Batth, John Obi Mikel, Rajiv Van La Parra, Martin Cranie.

Of which 2 players costing £13m are still the in the team and regular starters. He brought in 13 players.

League finishes: 5th and 7th

On the wage bill it was half of the the 16/17 bill.

It was miracle work. Let’s not let facts get in the way of opinion though eh. Let’s play from the back and lose games 4-3 instead 🙌🙌🙌🙌 #Woodgate

Atypical?

Good luck on Woody getting the job temp, maybe he will go onto getting it full time but many will probably laugh at that thought.

He has an excellent squad available and when he was here it wasn't quite the same. He was dropped in at the deep end and I as much as anyone thought it was a pathetic and idiotic appointment .. and wanted him gone as much as anyone else did.

I have nothing against the guy personally. I just wouldn't have him back here. Maybe for all we know, what I just said might come back to bite me in the ****?? I'm just getting this feeling that all the smirking and people happy a rival of ours have given him the role to lead in the meantime may mean it advantages us. You can never be too sure.

Just see how he goes and I wish him the best there. I just feel wary of mocking the club for appointing him. This league is crazy, anything can happen. I just have this odd feeling they're gonna respond to him. There'll be more 'ITK' on how he manages a team and how he did us, but I just can't shake that feeling off.

I hope they carry on losing of course. I'm more focused on getting our new signings match ready and seeing how we go. If we do manage to sneak top six this season that would be incredible but got to be realistic. I still think we're gonna be a hair short. If Warnock stays, keeps the players we've got on loan .. I especially like the look of Kabano (sp?) .. and gets more backing in the Summer, I think he'll get us promoted next season. As long as he stays on of course!

Bournemouth good friend of mine not impressed with Woodgate, I probably haven't helped when he asked for my opinion 😀

Amusing.

1. Let's look at the facts.
PL season to June 2017: Turnover £121.4m (Broadcasting £100.6m); Wages £57.1m; Amort £24.4m
Monk/pulis to June 2018: Turnover £62.0m (Broadcasting £46.3m); Wages £43.2m; Amort £24.5m
Pulis to June 2019: Turnover £55.6m (Broadcasting £40.6m); Wages £35.6m; Amort £25.8m.

So the wage bill was NOT half it had been in the Premier League season, it was 62% of the PL wage bill on 46% of the PL revenue.
Karanaka took the club up on a wage bill of £28.6m, not a dismal 7th with £35.6m and having seen £70m spent on recruitments reflected in the amortisation charge.

Wages went from 47% of turnover in the PL and Amortisation from 20% (both too low for a promoted club to stay up) up to 64% of turnover and 46% for amortisation under Pulis horror season.

pulis had massive resources and he simply wasted them.

There are no published figures yet for year June 2020 - Woodgate/Warnock. There are no facts, just reports.
We know revenue will have collapsed as the Parachute Payments ended. It is reported that the wage bill dropped to c£25m may be less last season and would have to fall again this season too.

2. Let's focus then on opinions.
It is fair to say that Woodgate and Warnock have had a fraction of the budget ( wages and amortisation) to operate with versus pulis and Monk.
I am no apologist for Woodgate, as I think he did badly despite the constraints and should never have been appointed.
The man who did perform miracles is Neil Warnock, operating without players like Bamford and Traore and on a fraction of the budget he kept us up and is highly likely to get us higher than the fraud pulis did in his first full season.

Come back Atypical is what I say.
Nobody is going to save time and see things the way of this new poster DidsburySmog92.:D

Nothing against Woodgate personally but given Bournemouth are the most likely team we can catch and replace in the play off spots I hope he falls flat
