Australia won 6 out of the 7 matches they played in this tournament which, on the face of it, is a performance worthy of being crowned champions. They also won 6 out 7 tosses which, unfortunately, explains the previous sentence.

That's a pretty damming Stat

It's not just T20. It's no different on a cloudy Thursday morning at Old Trafford when Root wins a toss and let's Jimmy Anderson and Broad loose and we scuttle a team out for 150.

I suppose 'fairplay' to the Australians. They tend to just find a way and come good when it matters. I still genuinely feel England are as good as anyone. We probably missed out on the final because of one over. Losing Roy and Mills didn't help (imagine if we'd had Archer).

That said couldn't have handled losing to Australia in the final. I really fear we will get pumped in the Ashes. I know yesterday has no bearing on test cricket yet our batting is horrendous. We will never post a competitive score... Usually 250 at best.
