Yougov polls, free £50

I was redirected to a YouGov poll the other day, and I signed up (very easy, very basic info required) and I’ve started getting invited to do various short online polls. You accumulate points for each poll you do, and eventually, after accumulating 5000 points you get a £50 reward, either cash or a voucher for stuff like Asda, Adidas etc
I’ve been signed up for a few days and am only at 350 points, but seem to get an email invite to do a poll every day or so, so will probably qualify for the £50 in between 3 - 6 months.
Anyway, thought I’d share cos seems a relatively painless way to get £50 and….every little helps.

It takes a while and they seem to have changed the format a bit. I'm now convinced that you can get the first 3 questions wrong, the wheels whir and a different survey starts.
Can't remember how long I've been doing it for but I've been paid 2 x £50 so far and am maybe halfway to a third. If I find the first few questions boring then I don't bother, so I don't complete every survey.

£50 in the bank today. It did take longer to get to that than I thought it would, but really for minimal effort it's not bad.

I think I've had about £150 off them so far. The biggest frustration I find is the assumption that everyone spends all day watching adverts and then talks about them with their friends and family.

I don’t get invited to surveys anymore. I’m wondering if I didn’t answer them the way they wanted, so they stopped asking me 🤷‍♂️ Isnt there some connection to Nhadim Zahawi? Maybe my answers are too anti-Tory? I mean I’m being in tongue in cheek but …..🤷‍♂️
I’ve done about 4 in the last 6 months!

It definitely happens like that. You often get asked 3 or so preliminary questions. A short delay occurs followed by "Moving on ...." and you get a different survey. The most common question that causes this is Which region do you live in? Apparently there are groups of people who don't care about the opinions of those in the NE.

When I first joined I got about 4 surveys in a few days. Couple of them were political. Obviously, like any sane person, I clicked ‘strongly disagree’ to questions like ‘Do you think Rishi Sunak is showing strong leadership’, that kind of thing…..then the surveys dried up. Bit annoying really, given I highlighted it as a means to get a free £50 for people. Guess you only get that if you give them the answers they want.

I think they seem to go in fits and starts. Sometimes I do wonder if they select who to question based on whoever's commissioned the survey. Sort of defeats the object but perhaps when it comes to survey companies the customer is still always right.

Same here. I was doing the surveys on regular basis for ages and now I haven't had an 'invite' in about 5-6 months. F**k 'em 😁

You definitely get more surveys by being dishonest.
I got one relating to computer games, I said I rarely played them and then despite being selected was told the survey was not for me. I later got one on Magazines, so told them I was a regular reader (I’m not) low and behold I answered lots of questions and my pot filled a bit more. If you want that £50 you need to play the game, however it distorts their poll and should tell you why polls are never a true reflection of reality.
