your daily energy budget?

I know everyone's been saying it a while but can't stress how much difference and air fryer makes. People are keen to call them a fad product but they're best to stay - some frozen foods are even starting to put times on for them. They pay for themselves in no time and no need for a fancy one unless you really want one.

Our oven has been on about 4 times this year.

Slow cookers are great too but both make very different types of food. I'd recommend both - love my slow cooker for big batch foods but air fryer cooks better and nicer than an oven, and really fast. Also great for rehearing leftovers
Can you recommend an air fryer, mate?

Depends on your needs really! Cosori ones are really good but they're about £80 and you can get much cheaper ones. If you're on Facebook there are groups for "air fryers uk" where people post details, recipes etc worth a look and ask in there or do a search

About £2.60 /day excluding standing charges.

Fridge/Freezer is just over 10 years old and I think that is using a lot of electricity now.

No dishwasher
No tumble dryer

Gas C/H on all the time - 18 degrees at night, 19.5 during the day

Its been warm outside - around 16 degrees during the day and 10 degrees at night, which has helped reduce heating.

Why is everyone so cheap? £2.50 per day is only £900 per year which is well below the average. The price cap of £2.5k would be £6.85 per day. We are at about £300 per month which is £9.86 per day.

There is a cost of living crisis. People need to save money.

Gas/Elec bill last month was £86 all in- turn everything off, still charging phones/laptops/TV on etc. During the day I've noticed an increase to around £1.05 even when we're not in.

Ref £2,500 quote

I have not included standing charges - around £400 per year, because they are not energy usage.

A 3 bed semi is not average nowadays - I would say 3 to 4 bed detached are becoming more the norm.

Many people over wash and over dry.

I don't have an electric car.

The £2,500 is based on 4 person household.

Some people are just wasteful with energy but they are included in the average.

Some on here are more careful that the average - see posts on electric cars and how some posters minimised their car electric costs.

I guess people on here have become mindful of what they're using. Switch from oven cooking to air fryer or slow cooker requires a change in habit, so does shorter showers, not using tumble dryer, not using central heating etc. Change in habits we have been used to.

About a million £ per day as my wife likes the temperature to be about the same as in butterfly world in August.

It also costs about a tenner to just look at the tumble dryer. Does anyone know where there are any electric heated air dryers in stock?
