Your favourite "thing" about match days?

Not quite bitten by the bug yet. Sounds like he needs a clip round the lug.;)
Ha. He likes coming but he is as interested in trying to get attention from my mates' older sons as he is in watching the match itself....I'll persevere. I wasn't really fanatical until I was about 8.

Getting up and having the match day buzz. and for @Yearbyred, I had the same disconnect for a few years, but I still would watch them on TV, check in on here and feel down when they lost, then I'm pretty sure it was the friendlies that Warnock arranged down in the South West that got me feeling it again.

The walk to the ground, my two lads have grown up so quickly.. it feels like it’s the only chance I get to talk to them or spend time with them.

The outdoor fan zone stuff they have now is miles better than the.. nothing we used to have. More of that would be great. The George Camsell statue is a welcome addition too!

I don’t feel disconnected from the team, just the matchday experience. I’ll still watch every game, just won’t be attending.

When I started going it was always with family, my dad and brother, but sadly they are no longer around. Took my son for a couple of seasons but he lost interest and going on your own is not the same.

It's a rarity these days but it's usually meeting up with mates from overseas for a beers. Been a couple of times on my own recently and don't mind it to be honest.

I have gone with my Dad for years and this is now my sons second full season now he has turned 7. Watching him fall in love with the boro the same way I did just makes me beam! In his words "win, lose or draw we stay and cheers the lads off the pitch Dad!"

Same for me, my son is that age and is in his 2nd season. His optimism in infectious and he's actually made me relax loads at the match as he has absolute faith at all times that we'll get the result.

No matter how many times I've seen it I love the compilation the club has put together on the screen just before kick off where it goes through each era with it's own song, always gives me goosebumps.
It's brilliantly put together isn't it. I hope it becomes a permanent thing to show it before each game.

I'm in that boat now. 9/10 games I'm going by myself. Still good but not the same. Also there was a bit of a community of season ticket holders where I go but they've drifted off so I'm sat moaning to strangers 😁

Meet with friends before the game, few beers and bite to eat. Who can name the team just after 2pm. Enjoy the game what ever the result, this season has been exceptional. Few more beers to analyse the game, win, lose or draw then home. This is what Saturdays are for. UTB ⚽

I'm probably pretty boring but i don't go for any other reason than for the football, the atmosphere during the game, and hopefully celebrating some goals. I'm not remotely bothered about pints/pies/bovril/burgers etc and don't ever bother
