Zadar old Town looking for recommendations.

Flights look a decent price in June, Is it worth a weeks stay at all.
Visited Zadar for the first time this month, only for the day and liked it a lot. Plenty of historic sites/museums/churches to see if you are interested in history. Also within day trip distance of Sibenik [1.5 hours on the bus - of just over 1 hour if you have a car] which is well worth a visit. Boats trips and visit to the Krka national Park are also easy to find. It's a lovely part of the world. I would recommend it.

Lovely thanks for the that, by the looks of it seems very similar to Bratislava.

Not been to Zadar but been to Croatia twice this year, the Adriatic coastline is stunning both North and South. My experience of the towns/cities (except Dubrovnik which is basically a city state and totally different) is they have plenty of energy but have a long way to go to catch up to Western European standards. Zagreb will look prettier in 3-5 years as a lot of buildings are being restored. The people are really friendly, welcome tourism and English was widely spoken. In June, there should be enough tourists and of course Euro 2024 will be on depending on the dates, though it's not clear that Croatia will qualify.

If you have a week would highly recommend you take a drive to Plitvice lakes (avoid a weekend which will be very busy). It's about an hour and 3/4 from Zadar, and deservedly the no.1 tourist attraction in the country - multiple waterfalls.

We stayed at a place near Zadar called Bibinje went about 15 years ago but we had a fantastic family holiday there not many UK tourists there and not too touristy when we went could be different now but really enjoyed actually went two years in a row. Zadar is nice as well not a big place but great for a wander about I think Luca Modric is from there. Load nice places to visit if you hire a car, further south it gets more touristy so we kind and visited around Zadar and further north, but a great place to visit
