I agree with and support this message, it has nothing to do with the OP though, he was making bigoted comments and was called out on it then proceeded to claim he was being attacked which is a nonsense in itself. To all posters:
There are ways to disagree with someone without been hurtful and disrespectful.
Don't hate people because they don't agree with you.
We all can be wrong at times, especially if we put our heads above the parapit.
Try to be supportive as much as argumative.
We all have to realise politics by its nature is very divisive - its like being on an oppositions discussion board its easy to cause friction and when people are on a keyboard they can worse.
Its usually obvious the posters that are causing pain to others and the Admin should give them one warning and the next time they are out.
At present its a very good time to be a Boro fan - lets take pleasure from that.
You issued at least two lies in that post.Ha me too. I took 18 months, no one noticed either . Did me a lot of good though I’d say, I’m probably the best poster on here now.
Well, after newy of course.

Newy? I did acknowledge that. You issued at least two lies in that post.
I noticed you gone (as you well know) and there is certainly one poster who you would find cleaning their shoes a most humbling experience.
You did nothing to constitute a ban whatsoever.Again if the OP is about the post where I challenged some comments AET made, and now by extension this post is about me being banned I think thats ridiculous.
I concur!!Oh and by the way Sam Smith is one bloody awful pop star. And I stand by my comments about him sorry them.
Social media and life online aren't good for it. I do zero online apart from here (how stupid am I ) I am heading off for my face to face Andy's Man Club tonight and that is where I gain my strength from, not faceless posters.I genuinely don’t think this board can be good for your mental health, if youre in a headspace where you perceive a difference of opinion as a personal attack on you
I think everybody would agree with your sentiments. Nobody would deny that.My post says to all posters and it means just that.
This highlight a problem with communications using posts on a discussion board.
If people were stood/sat in a room what is been communicated would be a bit clearer.
Another issue and I am sometimes guilty of this is posting when I can't remember everything that has gone on before or fully aware. I also dread to think using the board after a few drinks.
Nail on the head. AET speaks with great authority but gets the hump when he’s challenged, debate doesn’t work like thatI think everybody would agree with your sentiments. Nobody would deny that.
I do believe though that on a public forum if you are prepared to air strong opinions you must expect to be challenged. Even if you don’t want them to be challenged. If one is very sensitive to any challenge it may be best not to put one’s head above the parapet so to speak. . Challenge is healthy debate. Abuse is entirely another thing and I think we have a community here that recognises abuse when they see it and will rally around and call it out.

Is disagreeing with the use of non-binary pronouns completely transphobic? I'm not sure, I think its a very grey area. Many trans folk don't want to use NB pronouns anyway.I know what you mean but also, conversely, what you're communicating can be more clear somewhere like this. There's no hiding behind tone of voice, facial expressions, body language, lowering your voice, paraphrasing when asked to repeat yourself. All you've got with the written word is exactly what you've said.
I'd respectfully suggest that might be the case here. It wasn't a case of "strong opinions" or "raising your head over the parapet". As @Sexpom said it was a couple of bigoted comments. And re-reading the OP I see the anti-trans sentiment hasn't changed.

I wasn't actually relating this to AET to be honest. What about saying people should go back in the closet?
What about saying trans public figures do more harm than good?
Are these grey areas?
FWIW I think going out of your way to be obtuse about someones chosen pronouns is petty and does come off as a bit transphobic yeah.
But as you've mentioned yourself, its hard to know when just reading something someone has typed.I think not remembering or even simply not knowing is a very different thing. I wouldn't pull anyone up on that.
