Gus hamer injury

I think he knows he has a massive hill to climb now, hopefully he can pass some of that negativity on to his team.
In over his head would be my description of Robins right now. He's got one chance on Wednesday. Otherwise his best players will leave and the team will canyon back down the divisions imo.

Utter horse poo being talked by Robins here. The replays clearly showed that there was no contact with Mcgree and he twisted his knee as he planted it on the grass before trying to kick the ball.
"Gus got whacked and we didn't even get a free-kick for it. It's a difficult job to be a referee, but it was a clear foul. The important thing is the recovery. It was a hot day today, so it took a lot of energy. I don't know how he is right now. It was a really nasty whack on the knee, but hopefully he will be okay"
Sounds like their version of our rose tints on here for whom everybody is against us and we only get bad decisions.

I don't think they'd canyon down thr divisions tbh.

Granted they have a smaller budget to work with, but Robins is a canny manager. Gyokeres and Hamer would probably leave, and replacements would be sought. They may get lucky/operate very shrewdly and acquire at least one like for like and be around the top six again next year.

If they don't then they have a rough defence to break down still and MR is good at fostering a good team spirit too. They'd probably finish mid-table, but not be in any relegation battle.

Probably not, but after watching the highlights, I did notice after he had a shot which went some way wide after the 'clash' with McGree he winced and limped away.
Clutching at straws to hope he doesnt play
Just watched it back and you’re right! Great spot. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

If/when Gyokeres, Harmer and O' Hare (when fit) leave they will get a few quid for them £30m +.

Invested wisely they could actually be a stronger team.

Based on their recruitment picking up those three......can't see them imploding.
Add Allen to that too, another good player who i like, albeit he's had injuries this season.

Can't see this as anything as a poor attempt at mind games tbh.

To review what happened: minimal contact on Hamer, who then spent 5 minutes lying on the floor. He was then able to run back onto the pitch having caused a significant delay to the game, and if I'm not mistaken, 2 minutes later he drilled the ball away after a decision went against them (and somehow escaped a yellow)

He was one of the better players on the pitch and is obviously key for them. Think this is Robins doing what he can (very little) to try and gain some sort of edge.

Weird one that. McGree didn't touch him. It was one of those where I thought that could be a nasty one as you could tell he just landed a bit awkwardly. It's always innocuous ones like that which can cause bad injuries.

A quick google found a Coventry live post (4 hours ago) saying he's having a late fitness test but it's all mind games. He could be definitely out or absolutely fine and we wouldn't hear much difference. I reckon he'll play even with the injury, even if he needs an injection or something to get through,. He would be a huge loss for them tho so fingers crossed

I'm pretty sure he will play. If he doesn't whoever comes in will be fired up anyway. Probably a less technical midfielder which just means another player who will sit behind the ball, close space and try and keep it 0-0. At least with Hamer he'll try and push forward and leave space to exploit. Good player, but not bothered if he plays or doesn't as it will be a stiff test regardless.
