Sheff Wed Boss Grilling

Personally don't agree with this at all. Yes Mr reporter ask your questions and probe for meaningful answers but this is borderline aggressive and there is no need for it.

The reporter has let his emotions get in the way for me.
Some of it was a bit much like, thought he went abit over the top when asking about the player playing out of position at left back. But in the main thought it was a good interview from a passionate fan.

A journalists job is not just to just relay the message, but to find out whats motivating and driving the Manager.
Why is he leaving out players who can do a better job?
What is the Manager doing to change the situation?
Does the Manager feel he has the backing of the Chairman?
All legitimate questions.
Otherwise whats the point?
Does he care about the fans?
Apparently not?

The reporter was spot on.(y)

To be fair, most Wednesday fans I've spoken to expected a really tough season and probable relegation. Admittedly it's been even worse than that (if possible-ha) but there's no way Moore would be getting those questions if he was still in charge.

As for motivation, a pay check, pure and simple - which he'll pick up until he's sacked. They're a basket case club so I don't even think it will affect his future employment prospects much/at all.

He has little, if any, affiliation with the club or supporters, like around 90% of the players, nor should they. They're professionals doing an (albeit poor) job.

Bit of a low blow to fella that hasnt the players to do anything about it. Poor from the BBC but there again what do you expect from the BBC.

Disgraceful the blokes a ******, what goes around.

Yeah didn't like that at all but couldn't quite put my finger on why because the questions were fine for the most part. Read the rest of this thread and other posters nailed it, it's almost bullying. Sure you can ask those questions but it's the way he keeps going on and saying things like "that's not much of an answer is it?", especially to someone who's first language isn't English.

I'm sure the Sheff Wed fans will have loved it though.

As a Thai person too I feel sorry for Dejphon Chansiri.
In fact, he should have done what Gibson did (project 3 years).
Rather than spending money on expensive players in the early years.
I thought of it myself, that he must have been discouraged from investing so much.
But it's still in the same place or it may be lower than this.

It's not as easy as running a family business in Thailand.
It depends on experience, some people are successful.
For example Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha Leicester's owner.

There's a lot of problems at Sheffield Wednesday and the biggest one is the owner, why would you replace Darren Moore after he did such a great job last season. It's obvious that they were going to struggle this season but they have seemed to have lost their identity as a team. Its just the latest line in a string of ridiculous decisions from the owner.

Saying that they nowhere near as big a club as their fans seem to think, I used to browse their forum a bit in our last promotion season (as they were up there in the league as well) and you'd think you were on a Liverpool forum with the way the fans talked about them. The likes of us, Burnley and Brighton were mere minnows to the massive Wednesday.

They have a very long history, a big old ground but the club just seems like a relic stuck in the last century.
