* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Ipswich Match - Day Thread *

Clarke’s done well imho as Maddo just said. Considering we haven’t a right back and we are playing second string centre halves and midfield this is acceptable

Very poor last 10 minutes or so but I dunno, not gonna be too harsh when we've been absolutely decimated by injuries and suspension.

Clarke has done well considering the time out, looks like he has gone a bit now but that was to be expected, would never be doing 90 minutes at this point in his recovery if it wasn't for all the injuries.

Small mercies, Marcus Tavernier's got two assists at Old Trafford this afternoon... I'm clutching at straws lads 🫠

To those moaning - we are without Hackney, Forss, Smith, Lenihan, Jones, O’Brien, McGree, McNair, Dijksteel. No Championship side could win consistently with that many good players missing. The spine of our team is out. Sometimes you just need to suck it up and take your medicine. As the Great Lennie Lawrence used to say, we lick our wounds and we move onto the next one. Once those players start to come back we will be absolutely fine.

UTFB.

You're absolutely right, but we're entitled to expect more from Greenwood and Rogers, who have been absolutely desperate today.
But they are playing in a much weakened team. Our seniors are the bedrock on which young players like that can come in and thrive. Bolting them onto a patchwork team and expecting them to hit the heights, it’s a huge ask. Rogers or Greenwood playing in a full strength eleven is a different prospect imo.
