There is absolutely Bob Hope and envelope of Boro selling Rogers and replacing him with Diallo, a striker and one other before 11pm on Wednesday night.
I just hope we don’t get shafted on theHuddersfield would expect more than £12.5m for him, surely.
Depends on length of contract remaining to which I have no idea but he's a seasoned pro in this division and would be a great asset to the team.Huddersfield would expect more than £12.5m for him, surely.
Never say never! There is absolutely Bob Hope and envelope of Boro selling Rogers and replacing him with Diallo, a striker and one other before 11pm on Wednesday night.
Aye he’s a good player. I just think if we sold Rogers and asked Huddersfield for Thomas they’d say they want the Rogers money and then some. But as you say, it often comes down to contracts, FFP, etc. But I agree Thomas would be a good signing for Boro.Depends on length of contract remaining to which I have no idea but he's a seasoned pro in this division and would be a great asset to the team.

Last day again with a loan or deal fall through at last min.
Yes that how English football works.Thomas they’d say they want the Rogers money and then some
He would want to come here, could we add in Dijksteel to a deal or Hoppe, neither seem like they will cement a role in carricks teamSorba Thomas is a £2-3m player
Villa can also afford to carry the risk more than we can. He flops and they lose £15m it's not the end of the world for them. There's obviously a risk that we sell him, he gets into the Villa team and becomes a player worth 30m in a years time. However I think its just as likely he goes there, barely gets a kick in the first team and spends next season on loan in the Championship. I think there's a fear that because a Premier league team want him and are willing to pay a decent fee then he's going to be a future superstar, but I'd like to trust Carrick's judgement as well. If Carrick thinks we should take the money and move him on then I'm happy with it, he's watched Rogers far more closely than any Villa scout.

Whereas if he stays, doesn't kick on and we've turned down that money for him, it's a big mistake with a bigger impact for a club like ours.

But Sunderland paid circa 11m for Clarke so rightfully are looking for a bigger margin of profit and if that price was met, Clarke would be sold this month no doubt about it.If a broke club with no fans like Blackburn can afford to reject £18m for a player with less than 40 senior professional games under his belt, then we can afford to turn down less for a player who’s finally found his feet in our team and has represented England at various age levels.
Sunderland have the same model as us, they’re not selling Jack Clarke in this window they know it would be idiotic.
I would say at his max he is a 4m player.Sorba Thomas is very good, but he is not a goal scorer - 5 goals in 112 Championship games.
Certainly worth a offer of say £5m plus add ons.
