There's another thread where the snivelling us taking place.
People die every hour of every day, I presume every single minute of your life is spent writing respectful thanks for their existence then?Sometimes the old adage “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything” applies. Somebody has died, be respectful; whether you are monarchist or republican. Not a lot to ask really is it?
Sorry HarryBit far even for me, that, bb6872...

It's not though. It's not disrespectful to Prince Phillip whom I admire and feel sad for his loss. It's an attack on the government whom have proved themselves absolutely capable of such shady behaviour.terrible statement for which you have no evidence whatsoever !!!!
Please tell me that was a joke right, as you do realise he was directly related to queen Victoria.the Duke of Edinburgh from humble beginnings,
And that’s what you picked out of my statement.......wow.Please tell me that was a joke right, as you do realise he was directly related to queen Victoria.
Ok humble is not the right word, turmoil and tragedy are the words, his childhood was marred by tragedy and he was effectively a refugee when he arrived here and as you say he had a great and remarkable life and worthy of some national respect.Wow all you like it’s sad he’s died it he was 99, and had a great life. But to say he was from a humble background is just not true.

Humble beginnings? You are just trolling now or truly stupid.I really don’t understand this anti monarchist band wagon that everyone seems to have hopped on, whether you like it or not the Duke of Edinburgh from humble beginnings, effectively a stateless refugee to this country, has given a lifetime of service back to this country, championing young people with the Duke of Edinburgh, actually working til the age of 95, patron for many charities and universities but some people don’t like the interruption of their music channel or sports show......it is 1 day, show some respect.....
I've seen the palace where he was born, in Corfu. Compared quite favourably with the series of slums over the border where my old man was born and dragged up. Half-starved and neglected as a child, he grew into a lovely, thoughtful, kind and intelligent man, but I don't recall the whole country going into mourning when he died. Funny that.Humble beginnings? You are just trolling now or truly stupid.

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark;[1] 10 June 1921[fn 1] – 9 April 2021), was a member of the British royal family as the husband of Elizabeth II.
Philip was born into the Greek and Danish royal families. He was born in Greece, but his family was exiled from the country when he was eighteen months old. After being educated in France, Germany and the United Kingdom, he joined the British Royal Navy in 1939, aged 18. From July 1939, he began corresponding with the thirteen-year-old Princess Elizabeth, whom he had first met in 1934. During the Second World War he served with distinction in the Mediterranean and Pacific Fleets.
I see the government are now putting a blackout on all MPs interviews as a mark of respect.terrible statement for which you have no evidence whatsoever !!!!
