Yet more….

Where has the economy bombed? More cars exported, more jobs in finance, can't judge on tourism due to covid, the £ stable, unfortunately houses still seem to get more expensive, again cannot judge on employment due to covid, it seems we still have a NHS, defense, a police force, Marton chippy still selling great fish and chips, lots of small breweries, my life has improved.
You do realise our GDP is down more than every major country in the EU, don't you? Also the worst in the G7.

Do you have this on your wall?

I don't pretend racism doesn't exist, as a load do, and we all know they're mostly brexit voters, and brexit would not have happened without them. I would say >90% of our racists are on the "leave" side, that might be a stereotype, but it's also likely true, however uncomfortable that may be to some leave voters.
WOW - That is quite a statement and generalisation.

Does anybody make phonecalls when on holiday?

I only use my phone abroad to take photos or surf the internet. I've found from previous experience that public WiFi abroad is streets ahead of what we have in this country. I remember one holiday in Turkey every bar and restaurant along the beach in the resort we staying in (about 30 minutes outside of Bodrum), had free WiFi at a decent speed too.
People don't just go to the EU on holiday, LOADS go for, or due to work as it's critical for their jobs. I never ring family or friends from abroad, only others we're travelling with but my lass is always on the phone to her family.

Also, loads effectively have to take their work on holiday (like me), otherwise, 10 peoples jobs at home stop, and various clients projects get held up.

Have to be extremely careful using public WiFi too, I don't use it for anything banking or GDPR related.

It's not a generalisation from the sample of a 1000 people I know, albeit I'm assuming that does scale up.

Do you think it's not true, or an unfair generalisation?
Do you know any racists that voted remain? I don't know one, not one.

I obviously haven't conducted proper research - you obviously have and have the figures to hand. It would be good if you could share that with the rest of us.

Absolutely not without a VPN, but most, if not all, companies provide one for work access and it's cheap as chips to get one or even to provide your own. I pay £3.50 a month for a virtual server and run Wireguard on it. Being in the UK, it does have other uses than just encrypted traffic ;)

Its a clever way of words, and one that Will Self used in a Brexit argument with Mark Francois.. People automatically assume that it implies that 90% of Brexit voters are racist. It doesn't. It means that the racists that did vote, then possibly 90% of them racists may have of voted for Brexit.

I don't have to do any research as it's that blatantly obvious how one-sided the racist vote goes. If it looks like a duck, a quacks like a suck, I reckon I'm sound to assume it's a duck, until I get conflicting evidence.

As soon as I come across a racist remain voter I'll give you a shout and start counting from there, to make it a fair fight huh? Might be waiting a while mind, I've not seen one in 5 years.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was under the impression that you had conducted research when you mentioned a sample of 1000 people that you know.

Quick question: How do you know that your "Remainer" friends - and others are not racist?

Yeah, I've got IPVanish, but I'm also quite sceptical where that's being routed through, probably shouldn't be overly concerned about that mind.

Is a VPN encrypted though, or just re-routing?

I imagine data could get scalped from the router/ locally, before going via the VPN? Can't remember how it all works, and in what order, especially on a Friday afternoon :ROFLMAO:

Yep. Despite rolling out the Big Guns - Barak Obama etc. The ordinary people in this country were not convinced. These ordinary people, who are not as invested in politics (like some of the self appointed experts on here) and the REMAIN campaign failed to sway them

What swayed them was the notion of the borders being closed and immigrants sent packing, they weren't invested in politics but instead invested in racism.

I suppose you can call it 25 years worth of subconscious data collection, in the last 5 years the score is about 500-0 in favour of racist incidents not remain voters, based on about 2 incidents per week.

I know me and my mostly remainer friends are not racists as I've known them 5-30 years, and my groups are mixes of race, sexuality and culture, and we're often slagging of racists and everything that the likes of Farage etc does. If they're racist then they've been extremely covert. I have one or two friends who are fairly xenophobic, but not racist.

On the other hand I've family members who are racist (who I don't bother with anymore, other than having them on social media), they all voted leave, same as loads of people I know from school, college, work etc.

I don’t know many people who are overtly racist so whilst they are your friends you will probably never know.

I didn't say every, I said many.
I would certainly like to see more controls of our borders, and I am certainly NOT a racist. What concerns me greatly, is the amount of refugees, illegal immigrants etc who are entering this country with no, or very limited checks. Whilst the vast majority are only seeking a better life, and they do have my sympathy, there will be ISIS terrorists etc amongst them, slipping in un noticed from the former war zones of Syria etc. Does that not concern you?

It's encrypted end-to-end. I have a lifetime sub to SecureVPN, which I use if I'm just in the pub or something. I tend to use my own mainly for BBC, ITV etc, but out of an abundance of caution I do use it for banking or anything really important.
