You had a cold shower, in winter, by choice? You must be mad!Does anybody else get that feeling when they wake up that the days ahead will be grand?
Had a cold shower to wake the body and feeling fresh! Let's all get it whatever we are all doing today! Positive vibes.
I was always dubious of hokey pokey stuff like this but watch this. You had a cold shower, in winter, by choice? You must be mad!
Hope you had the heating on full blast beforehand!
Whichever works for you Drew.I tried it the other week. Does a hot bath then running the shower over your top half count as an acceptable start
Yeah, I was hoping you did it the gradual way, a bit like the old days of when there wasn't enough hot water for everyone, and the guy last paid the price.I was always dubious of hokey pokey stuff like this but watch this.
Tips for beginners, start your shower off at the normal temperature you use then gradually decrease it until it's cold. Don't forget to regulate your breathing as the water gets colder otherwise all your muscles will tense too much and you'll hate it.
I've been doing this for a couple of weeks on and off but this past 7 days I've been doing it every day and the difference is remarkable.
I go straight to cold now. After the initial 'arghh' it's brilliant.Yeah, I was hoping you did it the gradual way, a bit like the old days of when there wasn't enough hot water for everyone, and the guy last paid the price.
Played for many sports teams where it was cold from the outset, and never even got luke warm, and that was in a 5 degree changing room
Wow, that sounds pretty disconcerting BoroFur. Well done you for helping to lend a handI slept in today when I really didn't want to. Up late last night searching for a neighbour who had uncharacteristically gone missing. Thank goodness he was found.
I do it gradually but I save water and gas (sometimes) by getting a european shower which means getting your body wet, turning off the water, washing your whole body and then turning the water back on to rinse.I go straight to cold now. After the initial 'arghh' it's brilliant.
Too much effort for me to turn water on and offI do it gradually but I save water and gas (sometimes) by getting a european shower which means getting your body wet, turning off the water, washing your whole body and then turning the water back on to rinse.
