Sunderland Away Ticket Info

The club should support fans that buy season tickets. By utilising a priority points system they’re choosing to prioritise one set of season ticket holders over another.
Also why is it a free for all of it was season ticket holders but not a free for all within each priority points banding?
All I can say to you is go to more away games and you’ll get the opportunity to go to the sought after ones.

Yep.

And rightly so too.

It's such a very simple loyalty scheme.

Basically, going to more away games = more chance of the high demand away games.

What's not to like...

….buying a season ticket and not getting the opportunity to go to in demand away games?

Do something about it...go to more away games.

Wait a minute. Are you seriously suggesting a season ticket holder who's been to 0 away games should have the same chance of a high demand away ticket, than a season ticket holder who has been to 20+ away games over the last 2 years?

Answer on a postage stamp will do.

An online scramble for all season ticket holders is the fair way. They've all forked out to support their club. It shouldn't be restricted to those with the good fortune to have the time and money to spend on other clubs.

That's nonsense.

Fan number 1 gets a ticket for Sunderland in the free for all scramble. First ever season card is this year and been to 1 away game over the last few years (Man United away last year).

Fan number 2 misses out in the scramble. Had a season card for 15 years and has averaged 10-15 away games in each of those seasons.

That's unfair.

The club are looking after those that commit the most to the best of their ability, and rightly so.

If you follow the club week in week out, never miss a game, commit all your free time on supporting the club.. you should get priority.

Btw I gave no issue with that my point was that some of those that only go to away games seem to think they are the Uber fans when in reality the club make very little out of away tickets.

You do get the chance yes, but after those that have season cards and more priority points.

If you don't have a lot of priority points by going to lots of away games then no, simply just being a season ticket holder isn't enough to get you the chance to attend in demand away games.

What they do get out of it is support on the road.. a noisy away end cheering the team on in a ground full of home fans.

They appreciate that, and show their appreciation by offering points for spending your full Saturday sat on a motorway or on a train to support the team.

No I get that bit in reality the club don’t benefit it’s home support via ST where the money for the club.

If priority is about how much money you put into the club, then should West Upper fans get priority over North? Should buying a replica shirt earn priority points? Or buying a pint in the concourse? Or burning money with Unibet?

I won't hold my breath for an answer from Humpty.

I don’t think there’s anything more to add. My point holds 🤷🏻‍♂️
What you’re saying there isn’t really relevant.

Of course the club benefit from away support. They don't make bundles of money, but they get support on the road. It helps the team massively on their travels.

They're rewarding those fans that travel up and down the country every other week to give the players backing at away games.

The club don't have to benefit financially for them to feel like they have to show their appreciation.

Not everybody can afford to fork out for tickets and travel for more away games.

The system is elitist, I'm surprised at some of those in favour of a system discriminating against most season ticket holders.
