Sunderland Away Ticket Info

I’m on 214 and may miss out but I understand why I would.
Similar.

I'm on 212 and will probably miss out, however, at least there is comfort knowing those that are going fully deserve to go....and not just because they've been randomly picked out of a hat of all season ticket holders that include a lot who haven't attended an away game in the last 2 years.

It couldn't be simpler....go to more away games = more chance of high demand away games.

You will not miss out on 212

Very easy.

There's been a vast number of away games in the last 2 seasons that haven't sold out until they've hit general sale....plus there's been a lot that haven't even sold out.
You can’t retrospectively get tickets from the last 2 seasons.

How does someone buying a season ticket today build up sufficient points for the remainder of this season?

If we get promoted how would they do it when everyone has at least 70+ points more than them?

How can you build up points if you can’t get tickets that everyone in front of you can?

Boro don't sell out every single away game. There's plenty of opportunities to get an away ticket.. a lot of games go to general sale or don't sell out at all.

And even if they did, even if every single game sold out straight away (which they don't) the priority for that limited amount of tickets due to high demand should always go to those that have traveled the most and continue to travel and commit the most. Until they stop going away every week and continue to get points for their commitment, they should get priority.

How many of the remaining away games do you think will go to general sale?

They're unfortunately at the bottom. and will have to wait and build their priority points.

Someone buying a season ticket today for the first time shouldn't expect the same priority as someone that's had one for years and years. That's pretty obvious and simple man.

Yes they should, they're putting the same support into the club.

But what if they can’t build-up points because the people ahead of them always get the away tickets?

Your second paragraph indicates you agree with @Humpty. A season ticket is now devalued, if you want to go to away games there’s not much point getting one as your only hope is going to the ones in the backside of nowhere where fewer people want to go.

Any season ticket holder should be able to get a ticket if they're on the ball and ready to buy when their priority stage comes around for Cardiff, WBA, Swansea, Huddersfield, Bristol... maybe Luton although that one may go to higher priority brackets? Rotherham, usually get that full end so similar to Luton for that one?

I do agree with Humpty yes.. having a season ticket alone with no priority points holds less value than having a season ticket with lots of priority points.

Definitely. It's the way it should be, too.

If you buy a half season card, you've clearly not put in as much support as somebody who's had a full season card for 2 years+.

That's even discounting away games.

If you were buying individual match tickets before that, you'll have received priority points for each match anyway.

A standard season ticket gives you 1 priority point more than 23 individually bought home matches.

Sunderland away - no
Cardiff away - yes
Sheff Utd away - midweek so potentially
West Brom - likely
Huddersfield - likely (due to large allocation I believe?)
Bristol City - very likely
Luton - likely
Rotherham - unlikely, probably no due to last away game of the season.

So of the above 8 remaining away games, I genuinely believe at least 5, potentially 6 will hit general sale.

There's 10/12 priority points straight away.
