Give the youngsters a chance

Exactly what I said, they must be *****.

Unless the club still believe we can genuinely get a play-off place that was the perfect opportunity to play them.

I was asking a question you f&cking tube.
😂 A rhetorical one at that. Look I wasnt serious but feck me we have a decent 2-0 win, clean sheet and the first thing you see is some bloke wanting different olayers on the pitch. Im sure he will introduce them when he thinks their ready and lets face it he will know better than me and you when that will be.

Think most of us dont think we can but at least its good the Club think its not over.

Aye, I suppose so. I can imagine maybe we’ll see them when it becomes mathematically impossible. But if it does and he still throws Silvera on I’ll be engaging in a dirty protest.

If we were losing and not in control of the game, then I wouldn’t have asked the question.

Should everyone run their thoughts past you before posting, ensuring the timing and topic is entirely to your liking?

If he'd put on a couple of youngsters on and they'd come back and drawn 2-2, there would be hell on.
What would 15 minutes against a tired league one standard team tell anybody anyway?
Whilst it's mathematically possible Carrick is a hundred percent right to play the strongest team at all times, as he sees it.

Imagine he put on 2-3 and it finished 2-2. You'd be the first to hammer him. I imagine the post would be 'why throw on the youngsters?' 😂

Just play our best 11 it's still mathematically impossible to make the playoffs. That said with 12 out its not far off seeing them anyhow.

Carrick did the right thing today. If you want to watch the kids play pop over to Bishop Auckland to watch them.

It's about staying in the hunt for a play off place.
I expect you were saying the same thing when Wilder was in charge, before Leo gave Hackney a chance.

I also bet Liverpool fans aren’t slagging Klopp off for trying / trusting his youngsters in big games and big moments.

Charlie Lennon was favourite with 365 to score first for us today,im not going to lie I've never heard of him.

The thing people forget is, some youngsters are better than others. Same as any other age group of players.

Speaking of youngsters, I thought the number 42 up top for them looked a good prospect.

Danny Cadameteri’s son. Only 18.

Well we’ll never know if they don’t get the chance. Also, Carrick won’t know conclusively if he doesn’t see them in a 1st team game situation.

It’s not like he’s keeping Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot and Conor Bradley on the bench though

Carrick watches them in training every day.

It's not out of the realms of possibility, even though it's very, very unlikely.

We already knew that Norwich had lost.

With today's win, we're 6 points off with 6 to play and we'll know whether Norwich have dropped points again before we play on Saturday.

That's not a point where you can write things off or gamble on playing kids just to see what happens.

I get why we as fans will, I don't think we'll make the play-offs, but the manager and club can't whilst there's still a possibility.

The season is over & carrick is still playing for his job as even if we went 3 up he still wouldnt give the kids a chance saying that Dijksteel is a better player than onloan alying & cant get a game the difference a good manager can make.
