Which ones have you seen that make you think they're better than the first team?

Carrick has played youngsters who are good enough in Hackney and RvdB.

Were you calling for us to play youngsters last season when we were playing well, if not why not?

I dont think there'll be many better opportunities to get one or two of the youngsters some minutes to be honest.

The game was dead at 2-0. It might not tell you a massive amount about a players ability, but it's just the first stepping stone isn't it. 15 minutes this week against a bad Sheff Wed side. 20 mins Saturday against a slightly better Swansea side if the game allows it. Then you might have seen enough to decide whether they are ready for a start.
